The SmartRider "Escape" Breakaway Stirrup is a two part stirrup that disengages, setting the rider free when in a position of danger! Trevor James says these safety oxbows are the best new invention he has seen for some time. They can take a normal stirrup leather through the slot or a wider fender strap as well. The foot support comes away and releases the rider in a fall and drag situation. In the straight down position it acts as a ladder for those shorter riders. Just Brilliant! Her disability though has not taken away her love of horse riding and she has ordered a saddle to be especially made. Along with wither tracings and her height and weight specs she has supplied Trevor with an artists impression of the saddle she wants. It is not often that we hear of people with such incredible courage. All of us at James Saddlery sure are excited and honoured to make a saddle that will help give this lady the joy of horse riding she loves and help to return some mobility to her.
