This new Santa MK III is designed specifically to be light weight and close contact. It has all the A1 qualitys of the Santa MK III range that has become an Australian legend renowned for its strength and durability. This new Santa is light weight and has superb rider contact. It retains the large surface area on the horses back which means less rider pounds per square inch and less chance of soring up a valuable horse. Ideal for ladies and junior riders.

Syd Hills have ceased to produce saddles under their previous format. Paul Hill intends to keep making certain saddles, which ones will be available are at this time, uncertain. James Saddlery has negotiated the purchase of the Barcoo range of saddles and those saddles will be available exclusively from us in the future. The Barcoo Poley has been in production for over half a century and was designed by legendary Australian saddle maker & designer, Jim Hill. This saddle now joins the iconic Santa & Colt made and designed by Trevor & Daniel James.
INTRODUCING THE BARCOO HALFBREED
This Barcoo is built on the James Saddlery solid steel gullet fibreglass tree with ten years guarantee. The stirrup bars are welded to the steel gullet. It is lightweight, close contact and completes the Barcoo range. The leather is US cowhide, it is lined with genuine merino sheepskin and is legal for all sporting bodies with a stirrup bar and a surcingle slot is available on request. The seat is a one piece and underlaid with 20 mil of closed cell foam. Soft and no stitching or seam to rub or wear through.

The SmartRider "Escape" Breakaway Stirrup is a two part stirrup that disengages, setting the rider free when in a position of danger! Trevor James says these safety oxbows are the best new invention he has seen for some time. They can take a normal stirrup leather through the slot or a wider fender strap as well.
