The SmartRider "Escape" Breakaway Stirrup is a two part stirrup that disengages, setting the rider free when in a position of danger! Trevor James says these safety oxbows are the best new invention he has seen for some time. They can take a normal stirrup leather through the slot or a wider fender strap as well. The foot support comes away and releases the rider in a fall and drag situation. In the straight down position it acts as a ladder for those shorter riders. Just Brilliant!
