The Barkly Bushmaster is designed for very hard work. The seat is blocked in one piece. This means there is no seam or stitching to rub your inner leg. They are hand carved, hand tooled and trimmed in rawhide for added durability.
WADE SUPER STOCK $1975
The Wade Super Stock is built on a one piece fibreglass tree. It has a stirrup bar that allows the fender to detatch in a fall and drag situation. This is a very secure saddle with 5 inch dip and a 4 1/2" pad. The pad is set a little higher than usual. This makes it great for mountain country or rough terrain. The Wade Super Stock is fully hand carved. Apart from this, the superb quality and strength are highlighted by the gold stitching and solid brass fittings.

BARKLY BREAKER $1730
This traditional stock saddle has the original Australian feature of the full flap. The tree is carved timber with solid steel gullet and steel side rails. The tree is web strained which means you are suspended above the solid base of the tree. The web gives a fraction to take the shape of and properly support any variety of riders. The knee pads are steel reinforced.
The fittings are all solid brass and the dees are held in by solid brass straps, not the old style leather type which sretch and break if you put any real weight on the saddle bags.
These saddles are completely hand tooled. They are fleece lined, but can be ordered with felt lining. They are available in honey, havana or black and in any combination of these colours. They can be ordered is 15", 16", 17", 18" and 19".

The saddle is made of European cow hide and has solid brass fittings. The Super Stock is beautifully tooled and the saddle pictured is havana in colour. The fenders are web reinforced. The dip in the seat is 5 inch and the knee pads measure 4" at the front. Because the tree is recessed you have 5 inches at the rear of the pad. The weight is around 8 kilos. It would take starvation or a pretty woman to get you out of this one.

The Barkly MK II and Limited Edition Barkly are now available with a stirrup bar. This stirrup bar allows the fender to deatach from the saddle in a fall and drag situation. It is now a rule of most pony clubs and sporting bodies that a stirrup bar and second girth is necessary. If your saddle or the one you are considering buying does not have these features you will not be allowed to compete. These beautiful but affordable saddles have these features and you can buy them with absolute confidence. These saddles do comply with PC Rules.
