How to Put A Aluminium Oxbow     on a 2" Wide Stirrup Leather

The wide part of the strap goes around the outer part of the oxbow cross bar. The tongue of the strap passes through the 1 1/4" buckle which is reversed. The tongue then passes through the slot in the crossbar.

This stops the oxbow from slipping sideways and the tongue of the buckle is on the inside of the strap. It can not rub on the saddle flap or the riders leg.
